PURPOSE: An organic electroluminescence device and method for encapsulating the same is provided to achieve an improved adhesive force and reduce weight and size of product by using a glass substrate for encapsulation. CONSTITUTION: A method for encapsulating an organic electroluminescence device, comprises a first step(S10) of forming an encapsulating member for mounting an absorbent and an encapsulating member for sustaining gap, onto a substrate for encapsulation; a second step(S20) of hardening the encapsulating members; a third step(S30) of inserting an absorbent into the encapsulating member for mounting an absorbent, and opening an aperture formed at the encapsulating member for mounting an absorbent; a fourth step(S40) of forming an ultraviolet hardening encapsulating member onto the encapsulating member for sustaining gap; a fifth step(S50) of assembling a luminescent substrate onto the ultraviolet hardening encapsulating member; and a sixth step(S60) of bonding the substrate for encapsulation with the luminescent substrate by hardening the ultraviolet hardening encapsulating member.
