ENERGY STORING TYPE GAS TURBINE GENERATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more efficient energy storing type gas turbine generating set. SOLUTION: This energy storing type gas turbine generator comprises a compressor 4 for pressurizing air; a motor 5 for driving the compressor 4; a tank 10 for storing a liquid air produced by compression by the compressor 4; a cold storage tank 8 for sending stored air by pressure; a combustor 18 for heating the air sent by pressure; a gas turbine 23 rotated by heated air; and a generator 24 driven by the turbine 23. The motor 5 and the generator 24 are independently placed. The compressor 4 is driven by using excess electric power, and stores pressurized air. When electric power demand increases, a high pressure high temperature air is supplied to the gas turbine 23 by using the stored air to generate the electric power.
