Wet treating textile materials by forcing the treatment liquor with compressed air through the textile material in the treatment vessel in any required direction, and alternately into an empty storage vessel, if necessary under vacuum. The treatment liquor storage vessels are connected with each other and with the treatment vessel by control members. For the wet-treatment of wound textile materials, i.e. bleaching, dyeing, finishing, etc. Treats varying wound textile thicknesses with efficiency and liquor throughpout.
