PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome such a problem that keeping a transparent plate part at a desired temperature is difficult because the temperature measuring junction of a thermocouple used as a temperature sensor is arranged on the end of a heating transparent plate in a conventional microscope heating device. SOLUTION: This transparent surface temperature sensor 3 is equipped with a temperature sensing transparent insulating substrate 7, a temperature sensing transparent conductive film 9 formed on one surface thereof, a pair of temperature sensing terminals 11, 11, and a pair of temperature sensing conductive wires 13, 13 connected thereto. The conductive wires 13, 13 are constituted by copper and constantan, locked in the electrically insulated state through a transparent surface' heater 5, an insulating sheet 25 and a silicone resin, and stored in a housing 27. Not only one point on the temperature sensing transparent conductive film but also the whole surface is used as a temperature measuring part. Therefore, the average temperature of the whole temperature sensing transparent conductive film 9 can be detected by the transparent surface temperature sensor 3.
