发明名称 METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING GAP OF LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gap detecting method and a detecting device for a liquid crystal panel which can easily detect the gap of the liquid crystal panel in a short time through simple constitution. SOLUTION: The light from a light source 1 after being linearly polarized by a polarizer 11 travels through a half-mirror 12 almost in parallel to the normal of a reflection type liquid crystal panel 13 and enters on the reflection type liquid crystal panel 13. The reflected light reflected by the reflection type liquid crystal panel 13 passes through the half-mirror 12 and an analyzer 14 and is photodetected by a detector 15. In this state, the reflection type liquid crystal panel 13 is rotated on an axis nearly parallel to the normal of the reflection type liquid crystal panel 13 and the angle (quenching angle) where the output signal of the detector 15 becomes minimum is measured. According to the measured quenching angle, the gap of the reflection type liquid crystal panel 13 is detected. Here, the transmission-axis direction of the analyzer 14 is set nearly parallel and nearly orthogonal to the polarizing direction of the incident light, the output of the detector 15 is measured, and the gap of the reflection type liquid crystal panel 13 can be measured according to the measured signal.
