PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater gun having a short shooting preparing time by utilizing a free pulley to accelerate a lance and entirely eliminating a reaction at a shooting time without increasing in weight and length the gun with a highly hitting accuracy. SOLUTION: The underwater gun comprises the free pulley provided at a lower part of a gun barrel to be pulled by a rubber. The pulley 31 has a structure in which a driving thread is passed through the pulley 31, raised to an upper part of the barrel and engaged with the lance 20. The pulley 31 is moved only at a distance of 1/n of the thread on the barrel, where (n) is a deceleration ratio. Accordingly, the lance 20 is accelerated at a substantially all long distance of the barrel 11 by utilizing only an effective force from an elastic force limit of the rubber to (n-1)/n.
