PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an air curtain with no gap and firmly at the upper opening of a case body by a high pressure cold air flow, to prevent entrance of outside air to the interior of the case body, and to improve cooling efficiency, in a flat type cold storage and refrigeration open show case having a flat case body the upper part of which is released. SOLUTION: Cold air outlets 8a to supply cold air toward approximately central direction of a case body 2 are all around throughout the whole periphery in the vicinity of the upper edge of an outer peripheral wall consisting of a front wall 3, a rear wall 4, and right and left side walls 5. A central wall 9 having approximately the same height as that of the outer peripheral wall is formed approximately at the central part of the case body 2, and a cold air inlet 10a opposed to a cold air outlet 8a formed in the outer peripheral wall is formed in the vicinity of the central wall 9. By sucking cold air discharged through the cold air outlet 8a of the outer peripheral wall and sucked through a cold air inlet 10a of the central wall 9, an air curtain by a cold air flow is formed at the upper release part of the case body 2.
