PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of executing a comfortable dehumidifying operation at an enhanced dehumidifying efficiency without being accompanied by decrease in temperature. SOLUTION: A refrigeration cycle is constituted by sequentially connecting through piping a compressor 1, a flow passage switching four-way valve 2, an outdoor heat exchanger 3, a decompressor 3, a flow dividing control valve 5 having an inflow port 5a for allowing a refrigerant to flow in from the outdoor heat exchanger, a first outflow port 5c for discharging the refrigerant flowing in from the inflow port and divided, a second outflow port 5d and a control valve section 5b for dividing the refrigerant flowing in from the inflow port to the first outflow port or the second outflow port and simultaneously controlling the diving ratio thereof, an indoor heat exchanger 6 having a first path 6a and a second path 6b disposed parallelly, and a confluent control valve 7 having a first inflow port 7c, a second inflow port 7d, an outflow port 7a and a control valve part 7b controlling the ratio of the rates of the refrigerant flows flowing out from the first inflow port and the second inflow port to the outflow port. In such a constitution, dehumidifying operation can be carried out at a high dehumidifying efficiency and a comfortable dehumidifying operation can be executed at the same time.
