PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectacle lens with a defect improved chamfered portion provided outside a lens effective region and a method of machining the same. SOLUTION: The spectacle lens having the lens effective region 11 corresponding to the frame contour of a spectacle comprises a three-dimensional curved face formed on a lens reverse side around the lens effective region 11, as the chamfered portion 12 ranging to the lens effective region 11, and a cut portion 13 formed on the outer periphery of the chamfered portion 12 and cut for fitting the frame.
