The method involves operating a light transmitter (8) and setting the relative position between two parts (22,23) of a receptacle (2), the first part comprising a deflection mirror, and the second part acting to hold an optical fibre. The position is adjusted so that the emitted beam falls on the deflection mirror and lands in the centre of the optical fibre. The relative position of the first part and the light transmitter is then determined, and the second part is adjusted with respect to the first part to fulfil predetermined conditions relating to the position of the optical image plane of a lens (12,40) with respect to the front face of the optical fibre. |
