This light-receiving/emitting probe device 26 is constituted of the light-receiving/emitting probe 19, a scanning mechanism SD for scanning the sample 22 with the light-receiving/emitting probe 19, and a control circuit C for making the light-receiving/emitting body 15 of the light-receiving/emitting probe 19 receive and emit light, and a light is emitted and received in a micro-region of the surface 22a of the sample.</p>
