PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image signal correcting device for correcting image signal, based on response characteristic of a liquid crystal pixel, and to provide a liquid crystal display device provided with the image signal correcting device. SOLUTION: An image signal correcting section 12, provided at the image signal correcting device 1, generates a time filter by using a parameter concerning the response characteristics of the liquid crystal pixel stored in a parameter- storing section 11, and correction treatment of the image signal is executed by applying the generated time filter to the image signal inputted from an image signal generating section 3. Then the image signal obtained by the correction treatment is outputted to a liquid crystal panel 21.
