PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip capable of easily pinching a U-shape welt without hindering appearance when plate thickness of a car body flange is partially formed thick. SOLUTION: The weather strip 1 is provided in the U-shape welt 2 for pinching a car body flange F to cover an end of an interior material 9 with a decorative lip 7. A base end 7a of the decorative lip 7 is fitted to a nearly central part of a bottom part 2a of the welt 2, and when pinching with the welt 2, a side wall 4 inside of the car is opened to pinch a partially thick part of the car body flange F.
