RECORDING DEVICE AND RECORDING CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device and a recording control method, which are capable of recording stably for a long period of time even when a recording head having many simultaneous discharging number is used. SOLUTION: When the recording is effected in a driving current supplying path provided with an electrolytic capacitor between an electric power supplying unit and the recording head employing a recording head having a plurality of recording elements driven by a driving current supplied form the electric power supplying unit through the driving current supplying path, the amount of voltage reduction in a smoothing current unit between the electric power supplying unit and the electrolytic capacitor as well as the amount of voltage reduction in a pulse current unit between the electrolytic capacitor and the recording head are estimated while the pulse width of the driving current is controlled in a timing for driving the recording elements based on these estimated amounts of voltage reductions.
