摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frictional engaging mechanism for an automatic transmission sufficiently feeding a hydraulic fluid to a clutch arranged on the outer periphery of a ring gear. SOLUTION: The frictional engaging mechanism DC3 for the automatic transmission is provided with a drum member 31 having an annular section 31A and a tubular section 31B, the clutch C3 comprising a first frictional member C31 fixed to the outer periphery of the ring gear R1 and a second frictional member C32 fixed to the tubular section 31B, a piston 33 forming a hydraulic chamber 32 between it and the annular member 31A and pressing the second frictional member C32 to the first frictional member C31 side according to the oil pressure in the hydraulic chamber 32, a flange 34 extended outward in the radial direction from the center side and fixed to the end section of the ring gear R1 on the piston 33 side, and a balancer 36 arranged between the flange 34 and the piston 33 to form a second hydraulic chamber 35 between it and the piston 33. The ring gear R1 is provided with a through path 38, and the flange 34 is provided with an introducing path 34a introducing the hydraulic fluid flowing out between the balancer 36 and the flange 34 via the outflow path 36a of the balancer 36 to the inner periphery side of the ring gear R1.</p>
