PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent nonconformity that lighting fault is generated, due to continuity fault caused by a cross material during use as a product, and to enhance reliability of a liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: Inspection of high-frequency display function by applying high frequency voltage shown by (B), the frequency of which is higher than (frame frequency)×(duty number) and is higher than, for example, actual drive voltage shown by (A), is performed at first to a simple matrix type liquid crystal display element manufactured, according to a usual manufacturing process to exclude the liquid crystal display element, having the possibility of generating cross material continuity inferiority during use as the product. Then cloth material conducting treatment for eliminating cloth material continuity inferiority is executed to a product which is regarded as being nondefective in the inspection of high-frequency display function by DC voltage application and high-frequency voltage application of the same frequency as described above, for enhancing the reliability of the liquid crystal display element obtained as the product.
