PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a liquid crystal display, by which a liquid crystal composition is injected in a short time to reduce the manufacturing cost and the liquid crystal display having satisfactory display quality is manufactured. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method for the liquid crystal display, a substrate 400M is coated with a sealing material 106 in a loop-like shape; the liquid crystal composition is dropped onto a loop 402 coated with the sealing material, and the substrate 600M is superposed on the substrate 400M in vacuum state; then atmospheric pressure is applied to the substrates by opening the substrates to the atmosphere, the gap between the pair of substrates is pressurized, until the gap has a prescribed space; and the substrates are stuck to each other by curing the sealing material. In the pressurizing stage, a closed space 700, having the pressure lower than the atmospheric pressure, is formed between a pair of substrates.
