PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a spacer specifically for a vertical reinforcement, which is vertically arranged on the vertical reinforcement, to thereby prevent formation of voids and honeycombs at the time of placing concrete, and displacement, etc., of an installation location. SOLUTION: According to the spacer specifically for the vertical reinforcement, a vertical reinforcement abutting portion 4 transmits an external force such as a lateral pressure applied to a sheathing board 3 to the vertical reinforcement 1, and the external force is borne by the vertical reinforcement 1 even in the case where a horizontal reinforcement 2 is arranged inside the vertical reinforcement 1, to thereby prevent displacement of the installation location of the spacer S caused by cut of a binding wire, or the like. Further, a spacing section 5 is formed so as to be along a vertical surface, and therefore concrete spread is enhanced, to thereby prevent formation of voids, honeycombs, etc. under the spacer S. Further, a rotation restricting section 6 has an abutting surface having a width in a direction of the horizontal reinforcement 2, which not only functions to bear the moment of the spacer S about the longitudinal reinforcement and to restrict rotation of the spacer, but also functions to engage with the horizontal reinforcement 2 and performs positioning of the spacer.
