PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft inserting device for accurately shrinkage fitting and inserting a shaft into a member having a hole. SOLUTION: This shaft inserting device 30 inserts the shaft 43 into the hole 52 in an object 51 chamfered on the insertion side by shrinkage fit. The shaft inserting device comprises a shaft holding means 40 for holding the shaft 43, an object holding means 50 that holds the object 51 having the hole 52 for passing the shaft 43 and has heating means 53 and 57 for heating the hole 52, a core aligning means 60 that has the object holding means 50 and is movable horizontally, an angle adjusting means 70 disposed on one side of the aligning means 60, and a shaft inserting means 80 for moving the shaft holding means 40 in the predetermined direction.
