METHOD FOR GUIDING TELEPHONE NUMBER USING SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE

PURPOSE: A method for guiding a telephone number using a short message service is provided to conveniently receive a plurality of telephone numbers through one telephone number request by providing a telephone number guidance service using the short message service according to an area in which a mobile communication terminal is located. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal(100) composes a telephone number request short message corresponding to a selected item and transmits the composed telephone number request short message(307). The telephone number request short message is transmitted to an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(230) through a BS(Base transceiver Station/base station controller)(309). The MSC(230) receives the telephone number request short message and analyzes the received telephone number request short message(311). The MSC(230) retrieves a corresponding telephone number list from a database(313). The MSC(230) composes a response short message having the retrieved telephone list(315). The MSC(230) transmits the response short message to the mobile communication terminal(100) through an SMSC(Short Message Service Center) and the BS(317). The mobile communication terminal(100) receives the response short message and stores the received response short message(319).
