PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil rotation type vacuum pump capable of driving unmanned for a long period of time even when it is used for bleeding of gas containing plenty of steam. SOLUTION: A drain pipe 6 to make a liquid seal is connected to a drain hole 5 provided on a lower part of an oil tank 3 and water column pressure by water filled in the inside of the drain pipe 6 is made higher than oil pressure of height of the minimum required working oil quantity in the oil tank 3, in the oil rotation type vacuum pump furnished with an oil rotation type vacuum pump 1 and the oil tank 3 to reserve the working oil discharged from the oil rotation type vacuum pump, and to exhaust the gas containing the steam by the oil rotation type vacuum pump 1.
