PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a projecting material capable of manufacturing a small grain size, generating no powder in burr removing works, having superior burr removing capacity, and capable of continuously working for a long time. SOLUTION: The projecting material is so formed that 50-100,000 mono- filaments having the diameter or the long diameter of 50μm-3000μm and composed of thermoplastic resin are gathered, and the gathered mono-filaments 1 are wound with a sheet 2 such as paper or a film and cut into the length of 0.1 mm-9 mm by a guillotine cutter with its gathered state being held.
