PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for housing optical fiber which can prevent damage to optical fiber. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a first and second wall surface parts 1d and 1e forming the housing part 1a of an optical fiber 2 and at least either of which has flexibility, and winding shaft parts 1b and 1c which connect the first and second wall surface parts 1d and 1e with prescribed intervals and around which the optical fiber 2 is wound in the housing part 1a.
