PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the length of a piston for an ABS to a length H1 demanded by the ABS unit side without being limited by the length required for preventing the coming off of a coil spring B from a piston 10 in carrying it by a robot or the like. SOLUTION: In the piston 10 provided with a spring end receiving recessed part 12 composed of circumferential walls 14 and a bottom face 18 for receiving one end of the coil spring B, and built in a reservoir cylinder of a vehicular anti-lock brake system, a projecting part 19 extending to the inside of the coil spring B in receiving the one end of the coil spring B is formed in the spring end receiving recessed part 12. Since the projecting part 19 prevents the coming off of the coil spring B from the piston 10 in carrying it by the robot or the like, the height of the circumferential walls 14 of the recessed part 12 can be reduced. The axial length of the piston 10 can be reduced to the length H1 demanded by the ABS unit side.
