PURPOSE: A shadow mask frame assembly for a CRT is provided to achieve an improved impact resistance by changing the curvature of the shadow mask. CONSTITUTION: A shadow mask frame assembly comprises a shadow mask(12), a first mask frame(20), a second mask frame(30), and an elastic mask member(40). The shadow mask(12) includes mask holes through which the electron beams pass. The shadow mask is welded to the first mask frame. The second mask frame supports the shadow mask. The elastic member is disposed between the first mask frame and the second mask frame. The first mask frame is separated into a frame A(202) and a frame B(204), and includes a connecting pin for connecting the frame A to the frame B. A sliding panel(302) is mounted on the second mask frame.
