PURPOSE: A portable originator data display device is provided to temporarily store originator data at a memory chip when a portable data processing device, playing a role of an electronic note, is detached from a main body, and to enable a user to check the originator data by attaching the data processing device to the main body. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a main body(20) and a portable data processing device(30). The main body(20) includes a telephone line input terminal, a phone line output terminal, an FSK modulator(21), a microprocessor, an LED(23), terminals(24), a concave part(20a), and a finger insertion groove(20b). The LED(23) expresses a power state, and a network connection state. The FSK modulator(21) is electrically connected to the microprocessor within the main body(20). The concave part(20a) allows the portable data processing device(30) to be attached to or to be detached from the main body(20). The terminals(24) supply the power to the portable data processing device(30) when the main body(20) is attached to the portable data processing device(30). The microprocessor includes a memory chip for temporarily storing originator data when the portable data processing device(30) is detached from the main body(20). The portable data processing device(30) includes an LCD, a CPU, a memory, a keyboard, and an interface. The LCD displays various data such as a name, a phone number or an address. The CPU controls processes of storing, outputting, or displaying data. The interface forms an electrical connection passage with the microprocessor of the main body(20).
