PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel engine system preventing damage caused by overheating of a diesel particulate filter (DPF), by which a particulate matter (PM) in exhaust gas is oxidized. SOLUTION: Gas oil, water, and emulsifier supplied from a gas oil tank 4, a water tank 5, and an emulsifier cartridge 6 respectively are supplied to a combustion chamber 41 as emulsion fuel after water ratio is adjusted with flow rate variable control valves 11-13. The DPF 34 and a temperature sensor 35 for detecting the temperature of the inside of the DPF are installed in an exhaust system of an engine. When the temperature detected with the temperature sensor 35 abnormally exceeds the specified temperature (set to higher temperature than upper limit temperature turning a heater 43 to OFF) damaging the DPF, the water ratio is increased than the normal water ratio, and exhaust gas temperature is lowered to positively lower the temperature of the DPF. |
