<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enlarged projection type display device which is excellent in the visibility which is an important performance as the enlarged projection type display device, has a memory property and is capable of high-speed display by solving problems of the conventional enlarged projection type display device, using an integration type picture switching element and controlling a picture element having a magnetic thin film, a reflection film and a magnetization direction control means. SOLUTION: This integration type picture switching element and enlarged projection type picture display device features that, in the picture display device which collects and applies light to the integration type switching element and magnifies and projects the light from the element to a screen, a polarizer is disposed on the surface of a light transmissive switching element, the switching element, a magnetic thin film, a reflection film and the magnetization direction control means which changes the magnetization direction of the magnetic thin film at every picture element are disposed, the polarized light reflected by the reflection film rotates a polarized light surface on the magnetic thin film and, thereby, the intensity of return light is modulated.</p> |
