METHOD FOR SEPARATING, STORING AND USING ALL ACTINIDE FROM SPENT NUCLEAR FUEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reprocess spent fuel (SF) generated from nuclear power reactors and process and dispose waste generated at that moment not to relate to production of Pu capable of diversion to nuclear weapon. SOLUTION: Out of solution of spent nuclear fuel (SF) from a power reactor, only uranium is separated and recovered in the first extraction step and all the other actinide, that is, neptunium, plutonium, americium and curium are separated and recovered in the second extraction step. The obtained two kinds of actinide solution, uranium including solution and actinide including solution are separately denitrated, converted to solid oxide with good solubility and stored for future use.
