PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet stapling device which can be connected to a page printer, a facsimile, a copying machine, etc. SOLUTION: The paper sheet stapling device 1 is mounted on an upper surface of a laser beam printer LBP, etc., and has an opening/closing cover 3 on a rear part of a main case 2. A paper sheet drawing-in roller 13, a paper sheet discharge roller 14, and a paper sheet aligning rotary brush 15 are disposed on the cover 3. When the cover is closed, gears 7, 8 and 9 of the paper sheet discharge roller, the paper sheet drawing-in roller and the paper sheet aligning rotary brush are engaged with a paper sheet discharge gear 4, a paper sheet drawing-in gear 5 and a paper sheet aligning gear 6 on the main case side to transmit the power. When paper sheets are jammed, the jammed paper sheets can be easily removed by opening the cover, and the rollers can be easily cleaned.
