PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent lubrication operation without the occurrence of a trouble, such as feed of a poor fuel pressure and an increase in cost. SOLUTION: In a high pressure pump 10, a feed pump 14 is coupled to a drive shaft 13. When the feed pump 14 is driven along with the rotation of the drive shaft 13, fuel is sucked in the feed pump 14 from a fuel tank T. An oil seal 31 formed of, for example, a fluorine rubber material and a bush 32 forming a part of a bearing are situated on the outer peripheral part of the drive shaft 13. The bearing part of the drive shaft 13 is cut off from an external part by the oil seal 31. A part of the fuel flowing in the feed pump 14 flows to the oil seal 31 through the outer peripheral part of the drive shaft 13 and further flows in a cam chamber 35 after flowing through a fuel passage 34. Further, the fuel in the cam chamber 35 flows out to the fuel tank T through an outlet valve 36.
