PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging method which enables imaging with a good adhesiveness to a body to be imaged which is easy to deform, can meet a small lot and has a superior on-demand efficiency. SOLUTION: The imaging method for forming images to a surface of the body to be imaged with a hollow opening structure or a flanged structure has at least an imaging process in which a thermal transfer film and an intermediate transfer recording medium are overlapped, and heated like an image with the use of a heat source, thereby forming an image to an imaging layer of the intermediate transfer recording medium; and an image transfer process in which the imaging layer of the intermediate transfer recording medium with the image formed is overlapped to the surface of the body to be imaged, and heated with the use of a heat source, thereby transferring the image together with the imaging layer to the surface of the body to be imaged. In the image transfer process, a transfer-pressure adjusting member is inserted in the body to be imaged with the hollow opening structure. Alternatively, the body to be imaged with the flanged structure is supported by the transfer pressure- adjusting member from a rear face of an imaging face, and the transfer pressure- adjusting member is butted against at least a rear face of a part of the body to be imaged to which the imaging layer is to be transferred. The image is transferred while the body to be imaged is prevented as above from being deformed. |
