PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording element which has a fastness to water and is suitable for outdoor use. SOLUTION: The medium for the ink jet recording element includes a film- forming latex, the ink accepting layer of a polymer containing a repeating unit derived from a specified monomer type, in addition to a pigment and a binder used when necessary. An especially preferable monomer is a vinylester monomer derived from a versatic acid. |
