PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal line printing apparatus capable of executing conveyance control of an ink sheet with a simple mechanism and a high accuracy. SOLUTION: Specific parts disposed along the longitudinal direction of an ink sheet 7 by a certain interval are sensed by a sensor 3 so that the number of pulses for a motor needed for conveyance of the ink sheet between the specific parts is counted. The pulse frequency H2 calculated from the counting result is supplied to a motor 1 on the supply ink roll 2 side, and a pulse frequency higher than the pulse frequency H2 is supplied to a motor 4 on the winding up ink roll 5 side for generating slipping in a torque limiter. |
