PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance workability of an oil level check without increasing a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This outboard motor 1 with four-stroke engine comprises: a cylinder block 22 which forms a part of a crankcase storing a vertically mounted crankshaft 24; and an oil pan 13 arranged at a lower part of two cylinder heads 23L and 23R and having a main volume part arranged at a rear part of a drive shaft 57, the two cylinder heads 23L and 23R respectively supporting can shafts 29L and 29R at rear end of the cylinder block and being arranged to form a V shape in which rear parts of the cylinder heads enlarge in plan view. In this outboard motor 1 with four-stroke engine, an axial line of an oil level gauge 52 for checking an oil level inside the oil pan is made to face forward from a center 61 of the main volume part and inclined outside and upward from either a right wall or a left wall of the cylinder block. Accordingly, since an insertion opening of the oil level gauge faces to a side part and front part of the outboard motor, a knob of the oil level gauge can be arranged near a stern plate and an upper side than a joint surface of an engine cover. |
