PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-insulating structure of a roof frame, capable of having the effective heat-insulating effect against strong sunshine during summer seasons, and obtaining efficient effects of air conditioner even at nights. SOLUTION: A wooden frame member of the roof frame supporting a roof, e.g. beams 4 and 5, a vertical roof strut 6, ridge beam 7, roof purline 8, pole plate 9, gable beam 12, etc., is coated with heat-insulating members 10. Using this constitution, radiation to the indoor side at night can be prevented, even if heat is stored in the wooden frame member by strong sunshine during summer seasons. The ceiling 3 is provided to the lower side of the roof frame, and a heat-insulating layer 11 can be laid on the upper side of the ceiling. The gable beam supporting roof boards via the heat-insulating members, heat conduction to the gable beam from the roof is reduced, a large number of slots are formed on the upper surface of the gable beam, and a contact area with the roof boards can be narrowed to reduce heat conduction. With this constitution, heat storage in the gable beam, i.e., the wooden frame member can be reduced.
