PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auger apparatus which facilitates driving of a pile even in a place where the height of construction is limited or in a narrow place. SOLUTION: The auger apparatus 1 mainly consists of an auger casing 10, an auger screw 20, an auger motor 30 for rotating the auger screw 20 about a vertical central shaft, a hydraulic cylinder 40 for vertically moving the auger screw 20, etc. The auger casing 10 has a joint portion A which allows a divided casing to be connected thereto in an axial direction. By virtue of the above construction of the auger apparatus 1, a steel sheet pile 50 can be driven to the ground while the apparatus is extended by positively and accurately connecting the divided casing to the auger casing 10.
