PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the problem that a return spring is disengaged or deformed in an assembling operation and to improve assembling properties, by a method wherein the return spring is incorporated beforehand in a rotor, inserted into a cam tube together with a knock rod and fitted to a holder tube. SOLUTION: In a knock type writing implement wherein a writing tip part of a ballpoint pen refill is projected and withdrawn from the fore end opening in the end of the holder tube, the knock rod gearing with a knock part has a hole provided in the axial part from a cam in the front end toward the rear end side and a shaft provided in the rear of a cam of the rotor is inserted into the hole. An engaging part is formed in the front of the outer periphery of the shaft provided in the front of the cam of the rotor, and a support seat is so engaged with the rear end of the engaging part as to be prevented from slipping off. On the occasion, the return spring is laid between a step in the front end of the cam of the rotor and the support seat, and the knock rod and the rotor having the cams engaging with a cam groove of the cam tube are inserted into the cam tube so that they can be shifted axially, while the cam tube is inserted into the holder tube. The cam tube is fixed to the holder tube in a state wherein the front end of the support seat is brought into contact with a step provided in the holder tube, and the rotor is always urged toward the rear of the holder tube by the return spring. |
