PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet loading method, and a sheet loading device capable of loading a sheet without causing deflection when supplying and loading the sheet to and on a loading tray by sliding the sheet. SOLUTION: When supplying the continuously carried sheet to the loading tray 4 by sliding the sheet, while registering one edge of the sheet to a tail end part of the loading tray 4, an abutting piece 2 arranged in the vicinity of this tail end part is allowed to abut to an upper surface of the sheet to restrain deflection caused when supplying the sheet to the loading tray 4. The loading device has a stopper 8 erected in the tail end part of the loading tray 4, and stopping an advance of the sheet, and the abutting piece 2 in the vicinity of the tail end part of the loading tray.
