PURPOSE: A polyester fiber obtained by spinning a mixture of flame retardant polyethylene terephthalate and polytrimethylene terephthalate is provided which is excellent in flame retardance(LOI 25 or more) while maintaining excellent dyeability and flexibility. CONSTITUTION: Flame retardant polyethylene terephthalate and polytrimethylene terephthalate containing 500 to 50,000ppm flame retardant expressed by the formula 1, based on a phosphorous atom, are mixed in a ratio of 20:80 to 80:20(weight ratio) and spun. In formula, R4 and R5 are H or C2-4 equal or different radical group containing a ¥ø-hydroxy group, and n is an integer from 1 to 5.
