PURPOSE: A structure for fixing cylinder of reciprocating compressor is provided to easily assemble the cylinder on a fixed position. CONSTITUTION: A first prominence and uneven part(12) is formed on a front end surface of a frame(10) so that a surrounding of a penetrating hole(11) is stepped; a second prominence and uneven part(22) is formed on a contacting surface of a flange part(21) of a cylinder correspondingly with the first prominence and uneven part of the frame so that prominence parts(12b,22b) and uneven parts(12a,22a) of the frame and the cylinder are engaged with each other or the prominence parts face each other.
