SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RECOGNIZING AND PROCESSING VOICES

PURPOSE: A system and a method for recognizing and processing voices are provided to sense heat similar to human body heat to automatically enter into voice command input mode or get out of the voice command input mode. CONSTITUTION: A system for recognizing and processing voices includes a heat sensor(10), a sound input unit(12), a controller(14), a voice signal processor(16), and a message display(18). The heat sensor checks if heat distribution is sensed from a predetermined area and generates a sense pulse in response to the checked result. The sound input unit is placed in proximity to the heat sensor, receives a sound from the outside and outputs the sound as a sound signal. The controller calculates the period of time during which the sense pulse is generated, determines if input of a voice command is possible or not in response to the calculated result, and outputs message data corresponding to the determined result. The voice signal processor voice-signal-processes the sound signal. The message display displays a message corresponding to the message data to a user.
