PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device which maintains time or calendar information even when a trouble is generated and to provide a method of controlling a real-time clock. SOLUTION: In the terminal device, an externally attached RTC whose power supply is set in a separate system is connected to an assembled application microcomputer in which the RTC is built. When the power supply to the terminal device is turned on or when the trouble such as a power-supply cutoff or the like is recovered, the time or the calendar information is read out from the external attached RTC, and it is set at the built-in RTC. After that, the time or the calendar information is read out with reference to the built-in RTC. |
