METHOD FOR SETTING OPERATION MODE OF OPTICAL DETECTOR AND OPTICAL MULTI-MODE DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting an optical mode of an optical detector capable of selecting two or more types of operation modes from blocking, reflecting, approaching and background deletion proximity modes and operating and selecting a suitable mode based on an environment to be detected and a multi-mode optical detector. SOLUTION: The method for setting the optical mode of the optical detector comprises the step of recognizing a first operation mode M1 by a receiver continued to a radiation by the operation mode M1 to constitute the operation mode of the optical detector. The method further comprises the step of recognizing the first mode or switching to a second operation mode according to whether the detector is confirmed in the first operation mode or not. Thus, the recognized operation mode is confirmed by an automatic verification or a verification to be executed by an operator.
