PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of a refrigerating device by reducing the number of parts used in the device. SOLUTION: The refrigerating device is provided with a heat source-side circuit (14) equipped with an outdoor heat exchanger (23), a user-side circuit (15) equipped with an indoor heat exchanger (31) and connected to the circuit (14), and a refrigerant circuit (11) which performs refrigerating cycle operations by compressing a refrigerant by means of a compressor (21). The device is also provided with stop valves (26 and 27) between the circuits (14) and (15). A discriminating and control section (63) discriminates the opened and closed states of the stop valves (26 and 27) based on the air temperatures respectively detected by means of an indoor temperature sensor (55) before and after the compressor (21) is started, and the temperature detected by means of an indoor heat exchanger temperature sensor (56) after the compressor (21) is started.
