PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous hard surface protective glazing agent forming a film having excellent glossiness, stability, leveling properties, durability and protecting properties on a hard surface, above all, a rubberlike, leathery or a resinous surface, especially the hard surface of a vehicle, e.g. the surface of a tire, a bumper or a compartment interior trim member and having good operability such that the film-forming treatment can be carried out simply by coating or simply wiping off after coating. SOLUTION: This aqueous hard surface protective glazing agent comprises an oily protective glazing component, a surfactant, an amphiphilic polymer thickener and an ultraviolet light absorber and has 100-3,000 cSt viscosity.
