The paper sheet aligning pusher is reciprocated in the transverse direction by a cylindrical cam 32 to positionally align the paper sheets in the lateral direction, the paper sheet aligning rotary brush is rotated by a gear to sweep the surface of the paper sheets, and the paper sheets are pressed against a rear wall surface of the stapling table 29 and positionally aligned. Paper sheets are stapled by the stapler and discharged in a stack tray.
