PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy to install tent structure for a collapsible tent having an umbrella opening/closing mechanism, preventing the component parts of the tent from interfering with indoor space. SOLUTION: The tent 20 comprises a top cap 1 provided with a hole in its lower portion; a plurality of downwardly radially extending vertical ribs 2 connected to the top cap 1 at their upper ends; stretchers 3 each connected at its rear end to a portion of the upper section of each vertical rib 2; a runner 4 for supporting the front end of each stretcher at one position; a support rod 5 capable of moving into and out of the hole in the top cap 1, with the runner 4 secured to the support rod; and a fabric 6 stretched over the outer peripheries of the vertical ribs. To install the tent 20, the top cap 1 is connected to the runner 4 by the support rod 5 whereby the stretchers 3 are fixed in place while giving a force to open the vertical ribs 2 from inside. Since there is no need to form ridge lines with a strainer or fix the fabric in place during installation, the operation of building up the tent can be greatly simplified.
