PURPOSE: A fishing rod with a deposited metal layer and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to extend the life of use of the fishing rod, thus solving various problems such as water and soil pollution due to the waste fishing rods. CONSTITUTION: The fishing rod is provided with an urethane coating layer(20) on the outer surface of a resin rod(10), and a chrome layer(30) and a zinc sulfide layer(40) are successively plated on the top surface of the urethane coating layer by using a vacuum deposition technique, and finally a finishing coating layer(50) is formed via the application of a urethane paint.
