PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double cyclone with which reduction of the size and weight of a structure and reduction of the space and cost of a suspension preheater are possible. SOLUTION: The double cyclone is constituted by arranging the cyclone consisting of outer cylinders 110 into which gas containing powder is introduced and inner cylinders 120 which discharge the gas separated of the powder to multiple stages one above the other, connecting the inner cylinders of the cyclones of the lower stages and the outer cylinders of the cyclones of the upper stages ad introducing the powder captured by the outer cylinders of the cyclones of the upper stages together with the gas containing the powder into the outer cylinders of the cyclones of the lower stages. The cyclones 120 of the upper stages are housed into the cyclones 110 of the lower stages. The inner cylinders of the cyclones 110 of the lower stages are used commonly with the outer cylinders of the cyclones 120 of the upper stages and introducing ports 121i for passing the gas introduced into the outer cylinders of the cyclones 110 of the lower stages to the cyclones 120 of the upper stages are formed in the upper parts of the inner and outer cylinders 120.
